La Selysienne, Société d'odonatologie francophone, an association founded in 2020, is committed to preserving the habitats and species of Damselflies and Dragonflies. It encourages the sharing of knowledge between its members and the odonatological community to improve knowledge and protection of these insects. It organises the Great Dragonfly Marathon, which takes place at the summer solstice. This annual event has already attracted nearly a thousand naturalists. It is also a common thread running throughout the year that aims to encourage exchanges between everyone and to collect naturalist data, notably via Faune France. The association also supports innovative projects such as Odo'Clim, Odonatas et climats and other initiatives on Reunion Island, for example, or discussions between odonatologists in the French-speaking world... everyone is in action on different continents to talk about Odonates.
