Migration and winter distribution of the Stock Dove in 2020

The Stock Dove Columba oenas is a resident species in many regions of France. But migrants from northeastern Europe fly other France or winter in numbers.

Large flocks are occasionally observed, especially in western France, with roosts sometimes reaching nearly 6,000 birds. Please record systematically your roosts census (hidden records). The winter population remains, in fact, largely unknown, as well as its trend.
