Red Kite postnuptial migration in 2020

The Red Kite Milvus milvus is a bird of prey which breeds from Portugal to the Baltic States as well as Great Britain and Italy.

In France, this vulnerable species has four breeding grounds, centered on the Pyrenees, the Massif Central, Corsica and north-eastern France, from Lorraine to Haute-Savoie.

In winter, a large part of the European population winters in the Iberian Peninsula, but between 5 and 7,000 birds remain in France.

Follow the postnuptial migration of the species as it crosses France.
