Post-breeding distribution of the Golden Plover in 2020

The Golden Plover Pluvialis apricaria is a migratory shorebird that breeds in Icelande, the North of Bristish Isles, Scandinavia, the Baltic States and Siberia.

It winters in Ireland and England, France, the Iberian Peninsula and along the Mediterranean coast.

This year, the Wader Study Group organizes the International Golden Plover Survey on October 17-18th. Please assign your sightings, ideally collected in complete lists, to the project code "PluvApri2020". Please also pay special attention to European Curlews and Lapwings.
